After attending Penn State University and Dickinson School of Law, Erik returned to McKean County, Pennsylvania, where he began his career as law clerk to the Honorable John M. Cleland, then President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for McKean County.  In 1987, he became an associate to attorneys Lawrence Woods and Michael Baker. The firm was then known as Woods and Baker, later renamed Woods Baker & Ross in August 1999.

 

Erik lives in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Megan.  They are the parents of four children (Joel, Korin, Dane, and Hannah), and they have three grandchildren (Charlise, Brennan, and Ronan).
